A 42-year-old woman named Alveda Tolliver was in Philadelphia Police custody on 6/6/06. Police say Tolliver approached a mail carrier this morning in the 1500 block of Lardiner Street.She allegedly said "it's your day to die," then stabbed the carrier in the arm. The victim, whose name has not been released, was treated for minor injuries and is home from the hospital tonight.Tolliver is charged with attempted murder and other offenses. These are dangerous times for our fellow Postal Carriers. You have my undivided respect.
