Superheroes Go Postal

The new super hero stamps were unveiled at the Comic Convention in San Diego yesterday and will be available nationwide today.Unfortunately I didnt get the memo from the Postal Service or I would have been there for a live photo of the unveiling. So much for my VOE survey.

Honoring a Hero

PostalWatch.com was a non-partisan not-for-profit organization which was formed to protect individuals and the private sector business community from intrusive and burdensome United States Postal Service actions and regulations. PostalWatch provided this largely underrepresented group with a powerful and unified voice in postal affairs that impacted their businesses and personal lives. It also provided information for Postal employees to be aware of the latest news and happenings and served to be the watch dog to protect the rights of the People. Rick Merritt was responsible for Postalwatch.com and lost in the fight for cancer on Father's Day 2006.

Keeping Our Enemies Closer

Interesting. I was watching the news and noticed that the Postal Service is happy to have UPS contract the carrying of our mail on their planes. This causes two of our biggest competitors to fight over who will win the overall contract in 2007. Funny how somone was once our biggest competitor is now our best friend. More on the story here.
